Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information is used when you play Flick the Armadillo (“the game”), made by You Died Again Games (“we”, “us”). In short: we don’t collect any personal information ourselves. The game shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some information to show those ads, as described below.

Information stored on your device
The game keeps a few things on your device so it works properly. None of it is sent to us.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| The year you were born (asked once, on first launch) | To choose suitable ad settings for your age (see Children and age) |
| Your best scores and number of games played | To show your best scores and adjust the game for new players |
| Your ad consent choice | So you aren’t asked again each time (stored by Google’s consent tool) |
This information stays on your device until you uninstall the game or clear its data. If you have Android backup turned on, Android may include it in your device backup to your own Google account. We never see it.
We don’t have user accounts, and the game does not use any analytics or tracking of its own.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows a banner ad at the top of the screen, provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect and use:
- your device’s advertising ID
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it
- device information, such as model, operating system and language
- information about the ads shown and whether you interact with them
Google acts as an independent controller of this information. You can read how Google uses it in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and in the Google Privacy Policy.
Your consent (UK, EEA and Switzerland)
If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland and are 18 or over, the game shows Google’s consent message before any ads are loaded. You can agree to personalised ads, refuse them, or choose which purposes to allow. If you refuse, you may still see ads, but they won’t be personalised.
You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy settings link at the top of the game’s title screen.
Players in some US states may also be shown a message about their privacy choices under state law.
Children and age
On first launch the game asks for the year you were born. The answer is stored only on your device and is used only to set up ads:
- Under 13: ads are requested as child-directed. Google does not show personalised ads, and limits the data it collects, as required by children’s privacy laws such as COPPA.
- 13 to 17: ads are requested as for a user under the age of consent. Ads are not personalised.
- All ages: ad content is limited to a family-friendly rating.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child’s information has been collected, contact us and we will help.
Controlling ads on Android
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device’s settings (usually Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads). Doing so limits how ads can be personalised across apps.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under UK or EU data protection law), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. We don’t hold any personal information about you ourselves; the information on your device can be removed by clearing the game’s data or uninstalling it. For information held by Google, use Google’s tools at myaccount.google.com or contact Google.
If you are in the UK and are unhappy with how your information is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
